Trilly & Truly 08 Winter ish!
Lupe’s a beast. These Chitown spitters have the fashion game buzzin’. Peep these two jackets. They’re dropping soon.

Music I Dream of Hearing!
I was on HHDX this week, and a writer there had an article breaking down a bit of Mainstream Hip-Hop’s love affair with the underground. And then I got to thinking, and then I got to drinking, and then I got to crying, now my self esteem is sinking. But anyway, What would be some collabs I’d pay top dollar to hear? I’m listing a few and Why!
#1 Kanye West and MF DOOM
Imagine this. Two of the heaviest samplers around, and my top two producers on the mic, on just one track, let alone an album! Kanye has a penchant for witty, sometimes intentionally corny, but self assured charismatic lines and songs, While Metalface is known for his ramble-esque, stream of conscious, obscurely referenced no-two-joints-are-ever-alike style. Splitting productin down the middle, or, hell, even co-producing every track (it could only be 12 tracks, no more, no less) Would almost certainly make for an album one part raw, one part flashy, eleventy billion parts Classic Hip-Hop.
Yohji Yamamoto Coming Soon coming soon
I didn’t mess that up. Yohj is working on a clothing line with a lower price point aimed at a younger market, in hopes to see a spike in volume, from what’s being said. That being stated, this is still very much a Yohji line. the clothes are big for their sizes, the pants are made to sag, the buttons are big and the measurments boderline ginormous. That being said, I love Yamamoto’s stuff, that is, looking at it, as I can’t figure out where to get it. Here go some pics for ya, more after the jump.

PURPLE ARMY FIRST RUN IS HERE! YAHH TRICKS YAHH!
You read correctly. The first run ha llegado, has arrived, it’s right chea, as Mystikal would say. Pics of the drop after the Jump. We’ll have info up for the online store jam we’re kinking out at the moment, but for now, errythang’s paypal. shoot me an EMAIL for info on that. We went with some simple, clean, photo-oriented jams for this one, only 5 jammies for dat @zz. Official pics should be up soon, as I am deciding whether or not I wanna put em up.
Running Game
On a chick? Let this song be your guide. Lord knows it’s mine.
Real Recognize Real
I find myself feeling older and older every time I listen to the radio. In the midst of songs that melt together as 35 minute bursts of mild retardation, and R&B artists who look, sound, act, and sing alike, I find myself feeling bad for kids who grow up in this era. I grew up to Brand Nubian, Tribe, Biggie, Pac, Jay, Wu, Nas, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots and the like. Now, kids are blessed with the lyrical stylings of one Hurricane Chris, and, though I love him, Soulja Boy. Not hating, but these guys should not be the voices of a new generation. I mean, my generation and the one before it are just beginning to come into power, and we are all collectively a suit short of a full deck. Lil Wayne is the best mainstream rapper of this generation in the youth’s eyes. I will repeat that, Dwayne “Wobble Dee Wobble Dee” Carter is the nicest mainstream rapper in the eyes of the youth. Weezie Red Fraggle isn’t even top 30 (come test me, I can name 40 emcees nicer) all time, yet this guy is holding the torch. Lupe is nicer, but he’ll never have the mainstream appeal of one Daddykisser. The man he’s being compared to is in a stratosphere all his own, but the thing is, he’s the only one excluding one Wassalu Jaco who can be compared to anyone. Just thought I’d vent about this. I work with children as my dayjob, ages 5-14, and the things that come out of their mouths concerning hip hop make me wish I could legally slap the fire out of those little scallywags. Jay-Z can’t be the best because he’s too old, old school guys just rhyme about school and books, old school rap had terrible beats, blahzay blahzay blah. I had a kid argue that Ay Bay Bay was a better song than Criminology. I didn’t make that last sentence up, that ACTUALLY HAPPENED. Wanna know why kids are so friggin stupid nowadays? Here’s the short answer:
Glow In The Dark Mixtape
I am not a fan of mixtapes. They have taken a MAJOR dip in quality since the mid 90’s. Still, every once in a while, a good one comes along that I get wind of. This is one of them. The mixtape prequel to the tour (which was said to be coming to Boston, but I cannot find dates on any major tix sites. hmm….) Either way, Enjoy.

CRS – Dead?
There’s a rumor going around that the supergroup CRS – Child Rebel Soilders will not be releasing or working on any new material, due to a falling out between KanYe and Lupe Fiasco. Though, I’ve heard from a few people I know who know both parties that this is totally false, and that the two still share a close relationship, if it is in fact true, this is a sad day for Hip Hop heads everywhere.
Check Out their Video for “Us Placers” – Directed by Vashtie.
